In a beautiful natural area, from Kolsai and Kaindy lakes to Saty, the mountainous village presented. Our newly built "Mariya" Guesthouse is located in the village of Saty and is the ideal starting point for all activities.
The wild beauty of the Kolsai and Kaindy Lakes
The Kolsai Lakes is made up of Kazakhstan’s most beautiful water formations, located in the midst of mountain ridges and fir trees. The lakes are so limpid transparent that they reflect their surroundings like a mirror. Another incredible attraction is Lake Kaindy, located at an altitude of 2,000 metres above the sea level, and about 40 kilometres from the Kolsai Lakes. The lake was formed in 1911 after an earthquake which triggered a limestone landslide resulting in a natural dam, and the glacier water submerging a forest of spruce trees. Thus, the tree trunks got poke out of the surface of the newly formed lake, a dreamlike, otherworldly sight.
